~ Custom Order Archives...

~ The beads and bead sets which you see below illustrate a few of the custom orders which I have created for clients...

~  I enjoy continuously taking on new ideas and challenges in the art of bead making... Although I can never replicate the beads below exactly, I can make beads similar to these by special order, so the specific items below are shown here for inspiration -- all have been sold as one-of-a-kind custom pieces :-)

"Bee Swarm"

Description: A customer from France really liked my little bee beads, and asked me to make a few for her, and since I've never made this many bee beads before, I made sure to take a photo of the swarm before I sent them to their new owner.

"Pendants"

Description: Two new pendants in a square tab shape: "Rainforest" and "Ocean" for two new customers.

"Turtle Companions II"

Description: A customer really liked the Turtle Companions set which had already been sold on the website, and asked if I could make her another set that was similar to the original - she was very hapy with the result :)

"J & D's Wedding"

Description: One of my best and long-time customers (and now a new lampworker herself!) asked me to make beads which she could wear at her upcoming wedding, which will take place on the beach... I made a hollow heart focal in ocean colours (which she will use to create a pendant filled with sand from the beach spot), along with several matching beads and two small hearts for earrings.

"Ocean Theme"

Description: A customer who is a teacher wanted to decorate her living room chandelier with creatures of the ocean for her summer holidays, and I created a variety of different creatures for her. These included a crab, a seahorse, a dolphin a fish, a turtle, and even a jellyfish - the last was a first for me, but it turned out wonderfully!

"Graduation Bracelet"

Description: A very thoughtful father requested a bracelet for his daughter's graduation present - he wanted the beads to be her favourite bright colours, and for one of the beads to be decorated with her school's logo, and after a bit of practice, I was able to get quite close to the stylized design he had in mind.

"One Fish, Two Fish... & Turtles, too!"

Description: A customer who works as a nurse wanted to make a really fun lanyard for her id badge. She asked me to make her several fish and turtles, and since she works with kids, I had the idea to create the fish after the Dr. Seuss book "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish" and then added a few turtles, too!

"Raku Ocean"

Description: One of my wonderful customers came to my studio to select some jewellery, and she saw a pendant that caught her eye... She really liked the design, and asked me to make a matching bracelet, earrings, and necklace, and this is what I created for her - she loved it!

"Icicles"

Description: A great new customer from Alberta, Canada requested a set of 95 glass icicles in various shapes, sizes and colours for her family Christmas tree.  Here is a photo of the partially completed request...

"Shimmer Flower Mix - Necklace"

Description: A new customer from Missouri, U.S.A., requested a set of beads to be made into a necklace (to match a bracelet and earrings) for his wife's birthday.  I made several beads in styles similar to the bracelet, added several focal beads, bali silver, pearls and crystals, and created this wonderful necklace.  She loved it!

"Aqua Turtle"

Description: A first-time customer from New Zealand asked me to make her one of my turtles, so here he is, in aqua glass, decorated with a frit shell, and with twinkling eyes :-)

"Freeform Froggie"

Description: A friend of the first-time customer from New Zealand asked me to make her a freeform frog that was not sitting on a bead, but was a bead in itself, and although it was a new challenge for me, I think he turned out quite well in sparkling peridot glass... :-)
