~ Update: I will be updating the website with my new work shortly, as well as add photos of some new custom orders, but first, I wanted to share some photos of the Molten Obsessions 2008 exhibit; the show features beads created by the Pacific Pyros and is displayed at the Mission Leisure Centre - come take a look at the work of our members from July 5th to August 1st; the exhibit will feature new lampwork beads as well as jewellery for sale through the Mission Arts Council.
Display Case #1:
~ In addition, the Mission Times prepared a great article about the exhibit, so you can read it online here: ~ I am happy to say that I had a wonderful time again at the annual BC Rock and Gem Show which took place at the beginning of April 2008 - thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth, and I look forward to next year's show! :)
~ T he Fraser Valley Bead Show is over and I'm glad to be able to catch my breath now... Even though I didn't have my own booth at the show this year, I was teaching classes, as well as volunteering in my capacity as a member of the Pacific Pyros in the group vendor booth, so it was still a bit of work, and I spent most of the weekend hanging out at the show. Not much time for shopping with everything else going on, but it was a great show again this year, even bigger and better than before, so I'm looking forward to next year already :)~ I was asked by the editor of GlassLine magazine to prepare an article for publishing, and it's finally here! The editor thought it would be quite valuable to newcomers to the world of beadmaking, and so he has released it to the public - here is the direct link to the article: Setting up a Basic Beadmaking Studio ~ I would like to say thank you to Carla Canonica for publishing a wonderful article and beadwork project in her new Canadian stitching magazine: "A Needle Pulling Thread." You can pick up the magazine at Chapters, and here is a couple of photos of the project I designed: ~ I wanted to say thank you to the editors of "Beadwork" Magazine for including 4 of my designs in their latest issue of Stringing February 2006 magazine. It feels great to be published, and I hope you enjoy seeing my beads used in actual jewelry designs... Click on the thumbnails below to see photos of my designs, and you can see instructions for the two necklaces in the magazine: ~ I also wanted to say thank you to Tina Delorme for publishing one of my projects in her online magazine called "Bead Inspired Canada".
